Come join Barbara at our Friday Night line up! Dances  are now on the 3rd Friday evening each month ! Everything starts at 5:30pm and runs till 8:00pm at the Multi purpose room. Don’t spend your Fridays alone, come dance and watch movies with us!  We will be having the Friday night activity on :

Center Stage in the Foster Grandparent Park

 

 On August 2, the WOOGIE MEN will perform at the stage. These guys play and sing up a storm of music ranging from their own tunes to some cool old rock and roll classics from years past.

 On August 9, FASTLANE plays your favorite classic rock with a touch of original material. Come to listen, dance, and sing along!

 On August 16, The SWING KIDS will knock your socks off! With classic big band sounds from the 40s, the Swing Kids have developed into a first rate professional band that have played for Agnews at holiday parties and the Day of Recognition. The Swing Kids started out five years ago as junior high kids getting together as a specialty act, but found that their sound was so unique that they took their act on the road. Today, these high school students get everybody JUMP JIVIN'!

 On August 23, FLASHBACK will take you back to those memorable days. FlashBack band members have played on the same stage with the Doobie Brothers, Tower of Power, Sly Stone, Cold Blood, Fleetwood Mac, Buffalo Springfield, Commander Cody and others to mention a few. They play songs from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and they pride themselves for being able to play those special requests.

 On August 30, SEAL ROCK MUSIC will astound you with their 40 years of experience in the music field. The band plays music from the 50's, 60s', 70's and 80's, with each member playing multiple instruments and doing vocals. They will be an exciting finish to a month of great music from amazing musicians! 

 

Sultry September nights will shine when we continue our Thursday night concert season at Agnews!

September 6 - ISIS and the COLD TRUTH play blues to rock at bay area nightclubs like JJ's Blues, Murphy's Law in Sunnyvale, and the Windjammer in Aptos. Come out and enjoy bluesy folk at it best!

September 13 - Tom Rigney, the fiery, electrifying violinist/composer, joins forces with some of the finest musicians on the San Francisco roots music scene to form TOM RIGNEY and FLAMBEAU, a band that will tear the roof off of anyplace that has one and raise the spirits of everyone around.

September 20 - Our own hometown boy Joe Sharino is back to play at Agnews after 15 years. The JOE SHARINO BAND has won fifteen Best Band Awards in Northern California from the San Jose Mercury News, Metro Magazine, Good Times Magazine and radio station KGO, San Francisco! "Joe Sharino is perhaps the most successful club performer in the bay area. The simple fact is that Sharino is a phenomenon, a charismatic entertainer whose following now extends from Arizona to Idaho and many points in between" Bay Area Good Times Magazine.

September 27 - The PENINSULA BANJO BAND has performed at many public and private affairs including street festivals, retirement homes, private parties and grand civic occasions. It performed at the anniversary celebration of the Golden Gate Bridge, the reopening of the cable cars, San Francisco’s Black and White ball, Candlestick Park, the Cherry Blossom festivals, Music in the Park in San Jose, the opening of the San Jose Convention Center, special events at the De Young museum and for President Clinton and Vice-president Gore. Most recently, the band performed at the opening ceremony of The Tech museum in San Jose.

Everyone is invited to enjoy the best music in the valley, every Thursday night in September, from 6:00pm till 8:00pm. Come out and join us!

 

Residence 192 needs volunteers to read stories, play games and be a friend to our youngest individuals every Monday and Wednesday from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

On Monday and Wednesday from 4:30pm to 6:00pm, join Program One as they tear up the dance floor in the Pioneer Center at the twice weekly Drop-in.
